Which transcripts does this read?
The JSONL sessions written by Claude Code and Codex. It looks for the message shapes those tools use and ignores lines that carry no conversation — summaries, metadata, internal bookkeeping — rather than rendering them as empty sections.
Where do I find my session file?
Claude Code keeps one per session under ~/.claude/projects/, in a directory named after the project's path with the slashes rewritten. Codex keeps its own under ~/.codex/sessions/, filed by date. Both directories are hidden, so `open ~/.claude/projects` from a terminal is the quickest way to get a Finder window you can drag from.
Why would I include tool calls?
Include them when the record is for you — the commands and file edits are usually the part worth keeping. Leave them out when the record is for someone else, since a transcript with every tool call inlined is mostly machinery, and the conversation is easier to follow without it.
Can I convert a whole folder at once?
Not here. This page converts one session at a time, because that is what a browser can be handed.
