Your data stays on your machine.

Inventory reads the conversation files your AI tools already store locally and builds an index in your own Application Support directory. It makes no network calls, sends no telemetry and includes no analytics. There is no account, so there is nothing about you on our side to leak, sell or lose.

The scratchpad is off by default. If you switch it on, it stores the text you copy on your Mac in the same local index file. It filters nothing and transmits nothing. You can export or clear it at any time, and the app asks you about it every few days.

Payment is handled entirely by Polar; we never see or store your card details. What we do store, to issue and verify your license, is your email, your license key, the order id, and a one-way hashed identifier for each Mac you've activated on — never the raw identifier itself, and nothing about what you search for or find. That hash is compared, not decoded, so it can confirm "is this the same Mac" without us ever learning anything else about it.

If you leave your email for the Windows build, we store just that address and use it for exactly one thing: telling you when Windows ships. No other mail, no sharing it. Ask us to remove your waitlist entry or your license record and we will.

Uninstalling the app and deleting the index file removes every trace of Inventory from your machine. There is no cloud copy to chase down.
